The Insurance Service Center (ISC) was established by John L. Canady in 1975 after working as managing agent for another insurance agency for three years. From 1975-1991, John L. managed John L. Canady Realtors, Liberty Construction, and the ISC. In 1991, John L. assumed the responsibilities of agency principle and devoted 95% of his time to the agency, managing its growth and development and maintaining the level of service integral to the ISC’s philosophy. He has added the majority of companies that the ISC currently represents, recruited and trained producers, instituted and maintained a marketing department and increased premium volume at an exponential rate. In 2005, David B. Canady joined the agency, securing the long term, customer-centric philosophy integral to the ISC’s success.

With an efficient and knowledgeable staff and a dependable and cost-effective product, the ISC has grown to be one of the most stable and productive agencies, aggressively seeking new business in Eastern NC. In fact, because of our growth and success, a second branch office was opened on Hope Mills Road in 2004 and a third location was added in 2006 on Yadkin Road, all intended to better serve Fayetteville and its surrounding communities. Furthermore, in an effort to extend its area of service into the surrounding communities, the ISC has an established branch office in Clinton (2009), Sanford (2004), Lumberton (2008), Angier (2009) & Apex (2009) to better facilitate sales and servicing of our products. We are continually looking for opportunities to serve the communities of southeastern and central North Carolina and take pleasure in serving our customers!
